About RESOLVE
 About RESOLVE
National RESOLVE

Founded in 1974 by Barbara Eck Menning, a nurse, RESOLVE has grown from a small kitchen operation to a national organization. RESOLVE has a database of more than 40,000 individuals and providers, more than 50 chapters nationwide and a nationally paid staff of 17 that provides services and programs for individuals experiencing infertility.

RESOLVE is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board. The board includes individuals who have experienced medical concerns regarding infertility and who have adopted children. It also includes members of the professional community - nurses, lawyers, CPA's and business people. All are committed to providing services of the highest quality for members of the general public.

RESOLVE advocates on the national and local level for comprehensive insurance coverage for infertility treatment and other family-building issues of concern. In principal and in practice, RESOLVE values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barrier to full participation in this organization.

The Pittsburgh Chapter
Pittsburgh has had an active chapter, run by volunteers only, since 1978.  Within the past two years, our chapter has expanded to several satellite locations in order to help provide support for anyone dealing with infertility.  Please select any of the links to the right to learn more.

Our chapter and each satellite location holds regularly scheduled monthly educational meetings that are open, free of charge, to anyone wishing to attend.  The topics for discussion and education are various but always deal with infertility, adoption or advocacy.  Check out our online calendar of events to view the latest meeting schedule and location.  We hope to see you at one of our meetings!

Peer Groups

Peer Groups

Parenting After Infertility (PAI)
PAI was created in 1997 by a group of resolved members in order to have a new type of peer group.  PAI gets together to talk about various issues and to enjoy our families.  Family outings have included activities that range from picnics to the Pittsburgh Zoo.
If you or someone else you know about is resolved, please let us know.  We would like to send you a welcome letter and a small gift of congratulations.  E-mail the PAI coordinator

Women's Living Room Peer Group
Women's Living Room Peer Group is an informal group of women going through infertility or adoption that meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month to share their thoughts and to provide support for each other.  The meeting locations vary from month-to-month so please call (412) 492-9095 to find out where meetings will be held.  You can also check out our online schedule of events for the date & time of the next meeting.
